Quick Checklist

• Real & accurate: Post only items you own, with truthful details.
• No dealers/business uploads: Individuals only; no automated bulk posting.
• No duplicates or spam: One live ad per unique item.
• Right category: Put your ad in the most relevant category/region.
• Clear pricing: Use a genuine price; no “£0” or misleading tactics.
• Use your own photos: You must own the rights to all images/media.
• Respect the law: No illegal or restricted items; follow UK rules (incl. pets).
• Be respectful: No hate speech, harassment, or offensive content.
• Protect privacy: Don’t share sensitive personal or banking details.
• Policy enforcement: Ads breaching rules may be removed without notice.

Detailed Rules

1) Real, Accurate, and Owned by You

• List only items or services you own and are authorised to sell or offer.
• Describe the item honestly, including condition, defects, and accurate photos.
• No counterfeit, stolen, misrepresented, or “placeholder/teaser” ads.

2) Individuals Only (No Dealers/Businesses)

• fromowner.co.uk is for private, person-to-person listings.
• No motor traders, galleries, agencies, or any business accounts.
• No automated feeds, bots, or bulk uploads.

3) No Duplicates, Spam, or Irrelevant Content

• Do not post the same item multiple times or across unrelated categories/regions.
• No keyword stuffing, promotional spam, referral links, or external lead-gen funnels.
• Titles and descriptions must match the actual item/service offered.

4) Categories, Regions, and Targeting

• Choose the closest matching category and the correct GB region/borough.
• Do not misplace ads to gain extra visibility.

5) Photos, Videos, and Intellectual Property

• Upload only media you created or are licensed to use. No logos/brand images without permission.
• Photos must show the actual item (no stock photos unless you own the rights and they reflect the actual item).
• No watermarks that advertise third-party sites or businesses.

6) Pricing and Availability

• Enter a genuine price in GBP. Do not use “£0”, fake discounts, or bait pricing.
• If the item sells, mark it as sold or remove the ad promptly.

7) Prohibited and Restricted Items (Examples)

The following are not allowed. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive:

• Illegal items; stolen goods; items facilitating illegal activity.
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons, and weapon parts.
• Drugs, controlled substances, vaping products, and related paraphernalia.
• Prescription medicines, medical devices requiring authorisation.
• Tobacco and alcohol (including home brew kits marketed as alcohol).
• Counterfeit or trademark-infringing goods; unlicensed replicas.
• Adult/explicit content, escorting/prostitution services.
• Hate, discriminatory, or violent content/materials.
• Personal data, bank details lists, hacking tools, or surveillance devices intended for covert misuse.

Pets & animals: Any listing must comply with applicable UK legislation and local council rules (welfare, microchipping, age, licensing, transport, etc.). Breaches will be removed.

8) Personal Data and Safety

• Do not publish sensitive personal data (full address, ID numbers, bank/credit details).
• Communicate safely and report suspicious behaviour or scams via the ad page.

9) Conduct and Language

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or explicit content.
• Keep titles and descriptions clear and respectful.

10) Enforcement

• We may edit, limit, or remove ads that breach these rules or our policies without notice.
• Repeated or serious breaches may lead to account suspension or removal.
• We may request identity or ownership proof to verify an ad.
